Jo Yee - Filmmaker, Cinematographer, Photographer

Jo Yee is a first-generation Korean/Chinese filmmaker and cinematographer with a drive to streamline the future of diverse filmmaking. As a queer, non-binary Asian-American, the ability to transform the literal into the visceral on such topics including but not limited to queer experiences, Asian-American life, and community struggles, allows them to contribute to the other side of the mainstream, to break the barrier of underrepresented communities. Born and raised in the Bay Area, they reside in the Los Angeles area, where they are looking to gain more exposure to the industry. Jo Yee is a recent graduate from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor's Degree in Film and Digital Media, emphasizing film production and critical theory.
